The study is to be carried out at Debre Zeit (ILRI) research station, 45 km East of Addis Ababa at an altitude of 1900m above sea level. The average annual rainfall of the area is 851mm and the average minimum and maximum temperatures range from 8.9^oC to 24.3^oC, respectively.
