Questions to be addressed

The main question to be addressed is how one goes about designing an experiment and preparing a protocol. We discuss what needs to be included in an experimental protocol and describe its contents. The protocol is not perfect, deliberately so. A video (Video5 Source: Senai Assefa) gives a brief glimpse of the discussion that might have taken place on the study design, subsequently acted between the researcher (senior author) and the biometrician (second author). A second video (Video2 Source: Senai Assefa) illustrates how animal experiments are laid out.

The objective of the experiment is to compare different indigenous goat genotypes under different feeding regimes for performance and meat quality characteristics that meet the export marketing requirements to meet import standards of Middle East countries.
