Before undertaking a final statistical analysis it is useful to first explore the relationships between weaning weight and its covariates to see how best to define how these relationships might be included in the statistical model. In this example we hypothesise that, in addition to year of birth and sex, age of dam and age of lamb at weaning may also influence weaning weight. But how?
