Suppose only 5 fields.
Naturally the SED increases when reducing the number of fields, although the increase is not very great.
By calculating the least significant difference between two means (LSD = 2 x SED at the 95% level) it is
possible that fewer fields of view per slide could have been sampled to achieve the same experimental result.
